Kathy loves her job. She's always been drawn to teaching, whether it was Sunday school, AWANAs, or homeschooling her three sons as she and her husband served as missionaries in Africa for 12 years. When she was a child, Kathy sat beside her mother as she taught Bible School classes with young children.

Five years ago, Brighter Vistas invited Kathy to daily assist a student at CCS for content mastery. As the needs of BV grew, Kathy's love for tutoring/proctoring also blossomed.

Before joining the Brighter Vista team, Janet served for 10 years as clinic administrator of her husband’s medical practice. Christ is central to both Janet and her husband.  They have two grandsons and are anticipating a granddaughter in August 2016.  Janet is the caregiver for Stewie, the Vista mascot.

Gwen first learned the joy of working with children by helping her very skilled mother in church preschool classes.  She later graduated from Calvary Bible College with a degree in Elementary Education, and taught in the classroom for six years.  After staying home to school her own children for fifteen adventure-filled years, Gwen discovered the world of Educational Therapy when her struggling son needed help.  She received NILD training from Catherine and Velda, and has been happily working with her students at Brighter Vistas for the past seven years.

Math is her particular forte. "What a thrill it is to see students succeed!" She feels a commitment to every student, and is blessed to serve the Lord this way.

With a BS in Food and Nutrition from North Dakota State University, Kathy is also very passionate about helping others move toward wholeness in their health. When she is not working, you may find her tinkering in the kitchen, tweaking a new recipe or two.
